Chatteris Museum Events - 2012

The museum periodically stages special events. These events are usually advertised in the Centrepoint newsletter published by the Chatteris Centre Association and look out for posters around the town!

Family Activity Day

Tuesday February 14th 10.30am - 3.00pm drop in session - choose from these activities

Romans - Dressing up activity, Archaeological dig, pots activity, Dress the Soldier, Bula - game, Brooch, Helmet, Standard.

50p per child - children must be accompanied by an adult

Special Events

IN THE FRAME

12th January - 27th February 2012, at Chatteris Museum - opening hours Thursdays 2-4 pm and Saturdays 10am -12 noon.
An exhibition looking at Museums' collections of pictures - prints, paintings, posters, needlework, craft and photographs.

Come and see what the Museum has chosen. Discover the range of different things; learn to tell what these pictures are and how to care for them. You may have similar things on your walls at home.

From time to time we also have exhibitions of arts and crafts, so keep an eye out for these events.

There is normally one held for the period around the Chatteris Festival in June and in December in time for Christmas presents.

Chatteris History Society

AGM, election of officers and new programme for 2012

The History Society meet 6 times a year (bi-monthly). Membership for the year is £12 per member; guests are welcome to any of our meetings/outings @ £3 per guest plus any entry fee applicable on our outings.

Date to be arranged - Octavia Hill Birth Place

The Society will be visiting the newly refurbished Octavia Hill Birthplace House, the cost will be £2.50 per person. Meet in Church Lane Car Park (opposite the Chatteris Museum) for 7.00pm departure, we can share cars.
